Faith & parenting

Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.

Matthew 19:13-15

As christian parents, we do not always share our faith with our children. We oftentimes think they are too young to understand the scriptures and eventually will when they grow up a little more. We believe they will come to know God and follow in our footsteps once they mature.
Well, how would this be, if they are not trained in the way of the Lord? If we do not pray with them on a regular basis and also teach them how to pray, just like Jesus taught His disciples in Luke 11:1-4.
How will they know God if we do not lead them to Him?

These parents without a doubt made the best possible decision for their children in their time: bringing them to Jesus.
Let us do the same too in our homes.
