God is the great King who seats in heaven above and reigns over all creation, over all things seen and unseen.
He made Adam, the first man, at this own likeness – which is holiness, but Adam transgressed God’s command and could not longer remain in His presence.
Still God continued to love him and his descendants.
The King’s desire is that man be saved from his sin and reunited with Him again.
God loves us so much that “… He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17.
God is a holy King. Without holiness, no one will ever see Him, no one (Hebrew 12:14).
To be holy to God is to be set aside for Him, away from sin and abiding in righteousness (Leviticus 20:26).
It is to fear Him, delight in His Word, and obey all His commandments (Psalm 1:1-6).
It is to abhor sin and avoid it at all costs.
Sin does NOT please God and sinners cannot enter into the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
Isaiah 59:1-2 states : Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.
The King’s desires is to gather us all into His kingdom, and leave no one out.
He is calling us from every tribe and tongue and people and nation of the world to a banquet in His house, in His kingdom, and into His holiness.
All men are invited, but not all are willing to come.
We are all called to appears before the King completely blameless and without a single sin. That’s our wedding garment.
Without a clean and pure garment, we cannot make it in the reception room.
In a same way we prepare days, months, or even years in advance to attend an important social event, we also ought to prepare for this important day of celebration, the greatest ever.
No one knows the day or hour, but the invitation of the King is set and the celebration will take place very soon.
Be ready!
